Family Update

I can't believe it been four months since my last post. Here is an update about what the family has been doing.

Samuel-- We call Samuel our little 'Monkey' because he can climb on anything and because of the saying Monkey See Monkey Do. What ever the other two are doing he has to be doing as well. He is talking more and more each day and as you can see from the picture he is starting to get curls in is hair. I've already warned Robbie that he is not allowed to cut them off. He loves to make animal noises and give hugs and kisses. No matter what kind of day I'm having is I get a hug from this little guy it just makes everything better.

Hayden--has a new fascination, Pokemon. We downloaded the game to our Wii and that's all he wants to play. One day after we got the game he asked if he could play and I told him not unless his room is clean. That was the first time he cleaned his room by himself. Now I can get him to do anything as long as he can play Pokemon afterwards. He loves drawing and trying to write the alphabet. He does really good with writing his name without me spelling it for him. Even though he is almost 4 years old he still likes to sit on my lap and cuddle with me.

Cambria--is loving Kindergarten, learning a lot and making lots of friends (mostly boys which makes Robbie nervous). She is growing up so fast. She is very motherly and wants to help out with her younger brothers. There's not a day that goes by without her asking for a little sister. She is also becoming very thoughtful, every Friday at school they get to pick something out of the treasure box if they turned in their homework. Instead of picking something for herself she picks something that her brothers would like.

DeAnna--I keep myself busy with trying to keep up with two boys at home. I'm also trying to get the house ready to sell again. I love that I am able to stay home and watch the kids grow and witness their milestones.

Robbie--is busy with work and his new calling...Primary Chorister. He has a lot of fun with his calling and the kids really enjoy him. We are also getting ready for our trip to Las Vegas. (this will be my first time away from the kids longer then a few hours, I'm really nervous but excited)

Hopefully I'll be able to update more often.

Samuels Favorite Spot

The other day I could hear water running and asked Cambria if she left the water on after she used the bathroom. She looked at me and said "No, but I think I left the door open". I walked down the hallway to the bathroom and this is what I found:

Now we have to be really carefully about making sure the bathroom door is always shut, because Samuel is really fast and even gets in the sink fully dressed.

What do you think?

I took this picture of Samuel the other day and thought he looked a lot like some of my baby pictures. What do you think? We also got to spend some time with Bridgett and Maeley the other day. The boys were fascinated with Maeley and didn't want to leave her alone.

Do you think they're trying to tell me it time for another little one?

School Days

This week was Cambria's first week of Kindergarten. I can't believe that she is going to school. This first picture is of her first day of Preschool last year and the second is a picture of her first day of Kindergarten.

It has been really quite around the house with her gone all day. She is enjoying the class and is making a new friend everyday. With her gone Hayden has been able to watch what he wants to watch so its back to watching Cars everyday.

Disneyland Part 2

When I wrote that I would blog more about our trip later I meant a couple of days not a couple of months. Anyway, here are some more pictures from our trip to Disneyland. If you asked the kids what they enjoyed the most they would probably say the food, especially anything shaped like Mickey.

Cambria's favorite part was meeting all the Princess'. For Samuel's Birthday we had dinner at Ariel's Grotto. Cambria got to meet Ariel as well as Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, and Jasmine. That was a lot easier then waiting in line to meet them.

Hayden enjoyed meeting Mater and Lightning McQueen and getting to watch them really drive in the Parade.

This is how almost every night ended.

This last picture is on the way home, Hayden just didn't want to be in the car anymore. I don't blame him that was a long drive.

Disneyland Part 1

After our trip to Ruidoso I had two days to get laundry done and repack for our trip to Disneyland. I spent Thursday taking Samuel to the doctor for an ear infection and Friday taking Hayden to the doctor for an ear infection. It was hectic but we were able to get ready and leave on Saturday. We stayed in Kingman, AZ on the way there and on the way back.

This is the view from our hotel room. It was very nice to stay so close to the parks. When the kids started to get tired or have a melt down we just walked back to the room. There was a channel on the TV that played Princess Bedtime Stories. Each night a different Princess would tell her story. And every night there was a turn down service, the maids would put the kids stuffed animals in their beds and leave chocolate coins. Cambria thought it was a chocolate fairy leaving the coins.

While we were in Kingman, Cambria fell down in a parking lot and scraped her knee pretty bad and then Sunday night while she was playing in a little play area at California Adventure she tripped and hit her head on a pole and scraped her knee again so she has this big bandage on her knee in most of the pictures. Our first day at Disney we went to ToonTown. The kids were very excited about meet all the characters but when they finally got to meet them they wouldn't talk to them. Hayden only went up to Goofy and refused to go see anyone else. Cambria would go up to them but when they would ask her her name she would just shrug her shoulders. Hayden liked Minnie's house because her fridge was full of his favorite food...cheese. As soon as we got into Disneyland the kids started begging us to take them on a rollercoaster so we took them on the one in ToonTown. I took Hayden and Robbie took Cambria. There are no pictures of me and Hayden because we went by too fast. I asked Hayden if he liked the ride, he shook his head yes, so I asked him if he wanted to go again and he shook his head no. If you look close at the picture of Cambria and Robbie you can see the look of terror on her face. Needless to say they did not enjoy the rollercoaster. So after that we stuck to the calmer rides. Their favorite was It's a Small World. I think we rode it 7 or 8 times. I think I finally got the song out of my head! That's all for now, I'll post more about our trip later.

Another Birthday and Graduation

I know its almost been a month since Cambria's birthday but better late then never. Lucky for her she didn't have school on her birthday. So we let her pick where she wanted to eat and she picked Chuck E Cheese. The kids had a lot of fun playing the games. I'm sad to say that the price for prizes has gone up. You don't get much for a ticket. We had close to 500 tickets and got a couple of suckers, a plastic spider, and a silly straw (which, by the way, melts when you put it in the dishwasher) Then we went home and enjoyed some yummy birthday cake. (Made and decorated by Robbie) That same week Cambria also graduated from PreSchool. The school had made these flyers to give out to people we wanted to invite. It was going to be on a Saturday from 10-12. I thought about inviting some family up , watch Cambria's little program and making a fun weekend out of it but never got around to. It started off with the kids walking from the back of the room to the front, singing three songs, then they got their diplomas and then her teacher got up and said thanks for coming and enjoy some refreshment. I asked Robbie what time it was and he said 10:15. The whole thing lasted 15 minutes! So I'm glad I didn't make a big deal about and make a bunch of people drive over 300 miles for 15 minutes.

At least we got to keep the cap and gown.
